here we have an example of the maya particles system being used to create a soap bubbles effect. it was needed for the job that the particles follow the deformation of the object, in this case, the dog. we’ve created a plugin for this, giving the artist a good control on the emission (with emission map), radius, offset, and thus obtaining the effect. we also created a way to free these particles off the dog when it was under water and let them floating on it, following the water deformation that was made in realflow.
