and strike sparks of fire ,
( በሰኮናቸው ) እያጋጩ እሳትን አውጪዎች በኾኑትም ፤

and those that strike violently ,
በኀይል መንፈስን ነፋሾች በኾኑትም ፣

and then our torment will strike them ,
ከዚያም ያ ይስፈራሩበት የነበሩት ቢመጣባቸው ፤

behold , how they strike similitudes for thee , and go astray , and cannot find a way !
ምሳሌዎችን ለአንተ እንዴት እንዳደረጉልህና እንደ ተሳሳቱ ተመልከት ፡ ፡ ( ወደ እውነቱ ለመድረስ ) መንገድንም አይችሉም ፡ ፡

and those similitudes -- we strike them for the people , but none understands them save those who know .
እነዚህንም ምሳሌዎች ለሰዎች እንገልጻቸዋለን ፡ ፡ ከሊቃውንቶቹም በስተቀር ሌሎቹ አያውቋትም ፡ ፡

did the people of the towns think themselves secure from our wrath that could strike them at night during their sleep
የከተማዋ ሰዎችም እነሱ የተኙ ኾነው ቅጣታችን ሌሊት ሊመጣባቸው አይፈሩምን

are they waiting for the hour of doom when the torment will suddenly strike them and they will not even realize from where it came ?
ሰዓቲቱን እነርሱ የማያውቁ ኾነው በድንገት ልትመጣባቸው እንጅ ይጠባበቃሉን ?

and fear a trial which will not strike those who have wronged among you exclusively , and know that allah is severe in penalty .
ከናንተም ውስጥ እነዚያን የበደሉትን ብቻ ለይታ የማትነካን ፈተና ተጠንቀቁ ፡ ፡ አላህም ቅጣቱ ብርቱ መኾኑን እወቁ ፡ ፡

as for those who accuse chaste women and do not bring four witnesses , strike them eighty lashes , and never accept any testimony from them after that , and they are transgressors ,
እነዚያም ጥብቆችን ሴቶች ( በዝሙት ) የሚሰድቡ ከዚያም አራትን ምስክሮች ያላመጡ ሰማኒያን ግርፋት ግረፏቸው ፡ ፡ ከእነርሱም ምስክርነትን ሁልጊዜ አትቀበሉ እነዚያም እነሱ አመጸኞች ናቸው ፡ ፡
