Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
ከዚያ ወዲያ ኢየሱስ ከዲያብሎስ ይፈተን ዘንድ መንፈስ ወደ ምድረ በዳ ወሰደው፥

But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

እነዚያንም ከእነሱ በፊት የነበሩትን በእርግጥ ፈትነናል ፡ ፡ እነዚያንም እውነት የተናገሩትን አላህ በእርግጥ ያውቃል ፡ ፡ ውሸታሞቹንም ያውቃል ፡ ፡

Aaron had said to them before : ' My nation , you have been tempted by it . Your Lord is the Merciful .
ሃሩንም ከዚህ በፊት በእርግጥ አላቸው ፡ - « ሕዝቦቼ ሆይ ! ( ይህ ) በእርሱ የተሞከራችሁበት ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡ ጌታችሁም አልረሕማን ነው ፡ ፡ ተከተሉኝም ፡ ፡ ትዕዛዜንም ስሙ ፡ ፡ »

Those who turn their backs after the way of guidance has been opened to them , have been surely tempted by Satan and beguiled by illusory hopes .
እነዚያ ለእነርሱ ቅኑ መንገድ ከተብራራላቸው በኋላ ወደ ኋላቸው የተመለሱት ሰይጣን ለእነርሱ መመለሳቸውን ሸለመላቸው ፡ ፡ ለእነርሱም አዝዘናጋቸው ፡ ፡

Bethink men that they shall be left alone because they say : we believe ; and that they shall not be tempted ?
ሰዎቹ አምነናል በማለታቸው ብቻ እነሱ ሳይፈተኑ የሚተው መኾናቸውን ጠረጠሩን

Said He , ' We have tempted thy people since thou didst leave them . The Samaritan has misled them into error . '
( አላህ ) « እኛም ከአንተ በኋላ ሰዎችህን በእርግጥ ፈትተን ፡ ፡ ሳምራዊውም አሳሳታቸው » አለው ፡ ፡

Those who have turned back in their traces after the guidance has become clear to them , Satan it was that tempted them , and God respited them .
እነዚያ ለእነርሱ ቅኑ መንገድ ከተብራራላቸው በኋላ ወደ ኋላቸው የተመለሱት ሰይጣን ለእነርሱ መመለሳቸውን ሸለመላቸው ፡ ፡ ለእነርሱም አዝዘናጋቸው ፡ ፡

Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.
አርባ ቀን ከዲያብሎስ ተፈተነ። በነዚያም ቀኖች ምንም አልበላም፥ ከተጨረሱም በኋላ ተራበ።

እነዚያ ለእነርሱ ቅኑ መንገድ ከተብራራላቸው በኋላ ወደ ኋላቸው የተመለሱት ሰይጣን ለእነርሱ መመለሳቸውን ሸለመላቸው ፡ ፡ ለእነርሱም አዝዘናጋቸው ፡ ፡

And they brought his shirt with false blood on it . He said , ' No ; but your spirits tempted you to do somewhat .
በቀሚሱም ላይ የውሸትን ደም አመጡ ፡ ፡ ( አባታቸው ) « አይደለም ፤ ነፍሶቻችሁ ( ውሸት ) ነገርን ለእናንተ ሸለሙላችሁ ፡ ፡ ስለዚህ መልካም ትዕግስት ( ማድረግ አለብኝ ) በምትሉትም ነገር ላይ መታገዣው አላህ ብቻ ነው » አለ ፡ ፡

Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
ማንም ሲፈተን። በእግዚአብሔር እፈተናለሁ አይበል፤ እግዚአብሔር በክፉ አይፈተንምና፤ እርሱ ራሱስ ማንንም አይፈትንም።

And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.
በምድረ በዳም ከሰይጣን እየተፈተነ አርባ ቀን ሰነበተ ከአራዊትም ጋር ነበረ፥ መላእክቱም አገለገሉት።

Then , verily , thy Lord unto those who have emigrated after they had been tempted and have thereafter striven hard and endured , verily thy Lord thereafter is Forgiving , Merciful .
ከዚያም ጌታህ ለእነዚያ ከተፈተኑ በኋላ ለተሰደዱት ከዚያም ለታገሉትና ለታገሱት ( መሓሪ አዛኝ ነው ) ፡ ፡ ጌታህ ከእርሷ ( ከፈተናዋ ) በኋላ በእርግጥ መሓሪ አዛኝ ነውና ፡ ፡

And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
እነሆም፥ አንድ ሕግ አዋቂ ሊፈትነው ተነሥቶ። መምህር ሆይ፥ የዘላለምን ሕይወት እንድወርስ ምን ላድርግ? አለው።

For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.
ስለዚህ እኔ ደግሞ ወደ ፊት እታገሥ ዘንድ ባልተቻለኝ ጊዜ። ፈታኝ ምናልባት ፈትኖአቸዋል ድካማችንም ከንቱ ሆኖአል ብዬ እምነታችሁን ለማወቅ ላክሁ።
