ان لوگوں نے کہا تمہیں معلوم ہے کہ ہمیں تمہاری بیٹیوں سے کوئی سروکار نہیں ہے اور تم اچھی طرح جانتے ہو کہ ہم کیا چاہتے ہیں؟

allah, who is in need of none and of whom all are in need;
اللہ (ساری کائنات سے) بےنیاز ہے۔

people, it is you who are in need of allah. he is the rich, the praised.
انسانو تم سب اللہ کی بارگاہ کے فقیر ہو اوراللہ صاحب هدولت اور قابلِ حمد و ثنا ہے

and as for him who is niggardly and considers himself free from need (of allah),
اور جس نے بخل کیا اور (اپنے خدا سے) بے نیازی برتی

they said: "surely you know that we have neither any desire nor in need of your daughters, and indeed you know well what we want!"
ان لوگوں نے کہا تمہیں معلوم ہے کہ ہمیں تمہاری بیٹیوں سے کوئی سروکار نہیں ہے اور تم اچھی طرح جانتے ہو کہ ہم کیا چاہتے ہیں؟

whosoever strives (in the cause of allah) does so to his own good. surely allah stands in no need of anyone in the whole universe.
اور جس نے بھی جہاد کیا ہے اس نے اپنے لئے جہاد کیا ہے اور اللہ تو سارے عالمین سے بے نیاز ہے

and say, "praise to allah, who has not taken a son and has had no partner in [his] dominion and has no [need of a] protector out of weakness; and glorify him with [great] glorification."
اور فرمائیے کہ سب تعریفیں اﷲ ہی کے لئے ہیں جس نے نہ تو (اپنے لئے) کوئی بیٹا بنایا اور نہ ہی (اس کی) سلطنت و فرمانروائی میں کوئی شریک ہے اور نہ کمزوری کے باعث اس کا کوئی مددگار ہے (اے حبیب!) آپ اسی کو بزرگ تر جان کر اس کی خوب بڑائی (بیان) کرتے رہئے،
