the application of the 5s method continues according to the plan and we completed its second stage in the departments of maintenance and dispatch these days.
throughout the course of my thesis, i also had the chance to really get to grips with fields such as process analysis and lean management, with a particular focus on the '5s' standardisation procedure, by means of visualisation.
we apply a strict policy to limit sickness leave and to assist in a speedy recovery.ldm uses the 5s-method to ensure that order and neatness is continuously improved throughout the site, at all workstations and storage areas of ldm.
initially, the focus was on propagating the 5s methods in production and administration and on the thorough cleaning of all plants. subsequently, standardization and visual management methods were applied in some areas to ensure that the level achieved is maintained.
