jesus saith unto her, go, call thy husband, and come hither.
ኢየሱስም። ሂጂና ባልሽን ጠርተሽ ወደዚህ ነዪ አላት።

let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.
ባል ለሚስቱ የሚገባትን ያድርግላት፥ እንደዚሁም ደግሞ ሚስቲቱ ለባልዋ።

her fifth oath being that the curse of god be on her if her husband should be speaking the truth .
አምስተኛይቱም እርሱ ከውነተኞች ቢኾን በእርስዋ ላይ የአላህ ቁጣ ይኑርባት ( ብላ መመስከርዋ ) ነው ፡ ፡

the wife shall receive no punishment , if she bears witness four times in the name of god that her husband has lied
እርሱም ከውሸታሞች ነው ብላ አራት ጊዜ መመስከሮችን በአላህ ስም መመስከርዋ ከእርስዋ ላይ ቅጣትን ይገፈትርላታል ፡ ፡

he brought you forth from the earth and hath made you husband it . so ask forgiveness of him and turn unto him repentant .
ወደ ሰሙዶችም ወንድማቸውን ሷሊህን ( ላክን ) ፡ ፡ « ሕዝቦቼ ሆይ ! አላህን ተገዙ ፡ ፡ ከእርሱ ሌላ ለእናንተ አምላክ የላችሁም ፡ ፡ እርሱ ከምድር ፈጠራችሁ ፡ ፡ በውስጧ እንድታለሟትም አደረጋችሁ ፡ ፡ ምሕረቱንም ለምኑት ፡ ፡ ከዚህም ወደእርሱ ተመለሱ ፡ ፡ ጌታዬ ቅርብ ( ለለመነው ) ተቀባይ ነውና » አላቸው ፡ ፡

how can i have a baby when i am barren and my husband is very old ? this is certainly strange " .
( እርሷም ) ዋልኝ ! እኔ አሮጊት ይህም ባሌ ሽማግሌ ሆኖ ሳለ እወልዳለሁን ይህ በእርግጥ አስደናቂ ነገር ነው አለች ፡ ፡

god has heard the statement of she who argued with you concerning her husband , as she complained to god . god heard your conversation .
አላህ የዚያችን በባሏ ( ነገር ) የምተከራከርህንና ወደ አላህ የምታሰሙተውን ( ሴት ) ቃል በእርግጥ ሰማ ፡ ፡ አላህም ( በንግግር ) መመላለሳችሁን ይሰማል ፡ ፡ አላህ ሰሚ ተመልካች ነውና ፡ ፡

allah has surely heard the words of her who contends with you concerning her husband and complains to allah . allah hears what both of you say .
አላህ የዚያችን በባሏ ( ነገር ) የምተከራከርህንና ወደ አላህ የምታሰሙተውን ( ሴት ) ቃል በእርግጥ ሰማ ፡ ፡ አላህም ( በንግግር ) መመላለሳችሁን ይሰማል ፡ ፡ አላህ ሰሚ ተመልካች ነውና ፡ ፡

allah has certainly heard the speech of her who pleads with you about her husband and complains to allah . allah hears the conversation between the two of you .
አላህ የዚያችን በባሏ ( ነገር ) የምተከራከርህንና ወደ አላህ የምታሰሙተውን ( ሴት ) ቃል በእርግጥ ሰማ ፡ ፡ አላህም ( በንግግር ) መመላለሳችሁን ይሰማል ፡ ፡ አላህ ሰሚ ተመልካች ነውና ፡ ፡

shall i bear , being an old woman , and this my husband is an old man ? this assuredly is a strange thing . '
( እርሷም ) ዋልኝ ! እኔ አሮጊት ይህም ባሌ ሽማግሌ ሆኖ ሳለ እወልዳለሁን ይህ በእርግጥ አስደናቂ ነገር ነው አለች ፡ ፡

if a woman feareth ill treatment from her husband , or desertion , it is no sin for them twain if they make terms of peace between themselves . peace is better .
ሴትም ከባልዋ ጥላቻን ወይም ፊቱን ማዞርን ብታውቅ በመካከላቸው መስማማትን ቢስማሙ በሁለቱ ላይ ኀጢአት የለም ፡ ፡ መታረቅም መልካም ነው ፡ ፡ ነፍሶችም ንፍገት ተጣለባቸው ፡ ፡ መልካምም ብትሠሩ ብትጠነቀቁም አላህ በምትሠሩት ሁሉ ውስጠ ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡

allah hath heard the saying of her that disputeth with thee ( muhammad ) concerning her husband , and complaineth unto allah . and allah heareth your colloquy .
አላህ የዚያችን በባሏ ( ነገር ) የምተከራከርህንና ወደ አላህ የምታሰሙተውን ( ሴት ) ቃል በእርግጥ ሰማ ፡ ፡ አላህም ( በንግግር ) መመላለሳችሁን ይሰማል ፡ ፡ አላህ ሰሚ ተመልካች ነውና ፡ ፡

allah indeed knows the plea of her who pleads with you about her husband and complains to allah , and allah knows the contentions of both of you ; surely allah is hearing , seeing .
አላህ የዚያችን በባሏ ( ነገር ) የምተከራከርህንና ወደ አላህ የምታሰሙተውን ( ሴት ) ቃል በእርግጥ ሰማ ፡ ፡ አላህም ( በንግግር ) መመላለሳችሁን ይሰማል ፡ ፡ አላህ ሰሚ ተመልካች ነውና ፡ ፡

allah has heard the words of her that reasons with you ( prophet muhammad ) concerning her husband and made her complaint to allah . allah has heard both of you discussing with one another .
አላህ የዚያችን በባሏ ( ነገር ) የምተከራከርህንና ወደ አላህ የምታሰሙተውን ( ሴት ) ቃል በእርግጥ ሰማ ፡ ፡ አላህም ( በንግግር ) መመላለሳችሁን ይሰማል ፡ ፡ አላህ ሰሚ ተመልካች ነውና ፡ ፡

at the door , they ran into her husband . she said , “ what is the penalty for him who desired to dishonor your wife , except imprisonment or a painful punishment ? ”
በሩንም ተሽቀዳደሙ ቀሚሱንም ከበስተኋላው ቀደደችው ፡ ፡ ጌታዋንም ( ባለቤቷን ) እበሩ አጠገብ አገኙት ፡ ፡ ( ቀደም ብላ ) « በባለቤትህ መጥፎን ያሰበ ሰው ቅጣቱ መታሰር ወይም አሳማሚ ስቃይ እንጂ ሌላ አይደለም » አለችው ፡ ፡
