what wrong did i do
ምን አጠፋሁ

i do not worship what you worship ,
« ያንን የምትግገዙትን ( ጣዖት አሁን ) አልግገዛም ፡ ፡

so i do call to witness what ye see ,
በምታዩትም ነገር እምላለሁ ፡ ፡

i do call to witness the resurrection day ;
( ነገሩ ከሓዲዎች እንደሚሉት ) አይደለም ፡ ፡ በትንሣኤ ቀን እምላለሁ ፡ ፡

i do not need to swear by the sunset ,
አትካዱ ፤ በወጋገኑ እምላለሁ ፡ ፡

he said to them : ' i do not know you '
( ሉጥ ) « እናንተ የተሳታችሁ ሕዝቦች ናችሁ » አላቸው ፡ ፡

he said : " i do detest your doings . "
( እርሱም ) አለ « እኔ ሥራችሁን ከሚጠሉት ሰዎች ነኝ ፡ ፡

and i do bear with them , surely my plan is firm .
እነርሱንም አዘገያለሁ ፡ ፡ ዘዴዬ ብርቱ ነውና ፡ ፡

he said : " you are people i do not know . "
( ሉጥ ) « እናንተ የተሳታችሁ ሕዝቦች ናችሁ » አላቸው ፡ ፡

c/my father always slap my face what shall i do
ሐ/ አባቴ ሁል ጊዜ ፊቴን በጥፊ ይመታኛል ምን ላድርግ

if ethiopia does not have a wife, i do not want to marry her
ኢትዮጵያ ሚስት አፈልግም ማግባት አረብ ማግባት የምፈልግ ጎደኛ አለችኝ ሚስት ከሌለህ ዱባይ

በዚህ አገር ( በመካ ) እምላለሁ ፡ ፡

i do not want from them any provision , nor do i want them to feed me .
ከነርሱም ምንም ሲሳይ አልፈልግም ፡ ፡ ሊመግቡኝም አልሻም ፡ ፡

and he is god , my lord , and i do not associate any one with my lord .
« እኔ ግን እርሱ አላህ ጌታዬ ነው ፤ ( እላለሁ ) ፡ ፡ በጌታዬም አንድንም አላጋራም ፡ ፡

i do not expect to receive any sustenance from them or that they should feed me .
ከነርሱም ምንም ሲሳይ አልፈልግም ፡ ፡ ሊመግቡኝም አልሻም ፡ ፡

he said : fear not , surely i am with you both : i do hear and see .
( አላህም ) አለ « አትፍሩ ፡ ፡ እኔ በእርግጥ ከእናንተ ጋር ነኝና ፡ ፡ እሰማለሁ ፤ አያለሁም ፡ ፡

i believe that he is god my lord and i do not consider anything equal to him . "
« እኔ ግን እርሱ አላህ ጌታዬ ነው ፤ ( እላለሁ ) ፡ ፡ በጌታዬም አንድንም አላጋራም ፡ ፡

but as for me , he is allah , my lord , and i do not associate with my lord anyone .
« እኔ ግን እርሱ አላህ ጌታዬ ነው ፤ ( እላለሁ ) ፡ ፡ በጌታዬም አንድንም አላጋራም ፡ ፡

and i do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit : ( eschew evil ) .
( ራሷን ) ወቃሽ በኾነች ነፍስም እምላለሁ ፡ ፡ ( በእርግጥ ትቀሰቀሳላችሁ ) ፡ ፡
