ልናገር እንደሚገባኝ ያህል እገልጠው ዘንድ ጸልዩልኝ።

and that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not .
ይሠሩትም የነበሩት ሕንጻ ምንም አልጠቀማቸውም ፡ ፡

and man prays for evil as he ought to pray for good , and man is ever hasty .
ሰው መልካምን ነገር እንደሚለምን ሁሉ ፤ መጥፎንም ነገር ይለምናል ፡ ፡ ሰውም ቸኳላ ነው ፡ ፡

man prays for evil in the manner he ought to pray for good . man is ever hasty .
ሰው መልካምን ነገር እንደሚለምን ሁሉ ፤ መጥፎንም ነገር ይለምናል ፡ ፡ ሰውም ቸኳላ ነው ፡ ፡

we then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
እኛም ኃይለኞች የሆንን የደካሞችን ድካም እንድንሸከም ራሳችንንም ደስ እንዳናሰኝ ይገባናል።

and if any man think that he knoweth anything, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.
ማንም አንዳች የሚያውቅ ቢመስለው ሊያውቅ እንደሚገባው ገና አላወቀም፤

and they say : what aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the wicked ?
ይላሉም « ለእኛ ምን አለን ? ከመጥፎዎች እንቆጥራቸው የነበሩትን ሰዎች ( እዚህ ) አናይምሳ ፡ ፡ »

and they will say , “ what is it with us that we do not see men we used to count among the wicked ?
ይላሉም « ለእኛ ምን አለን ? ከመጥፎዎች እንቆጥራቸው የነበሩትን ሰዎች ( እዚህ ) አናይምሳ ፡ ፡ »

seeing then that these things cannot be spoken against, ye ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rashly.
ይህንም የሚክደው ከሌለ፥ ጸጥ እንድትሉና አንዳች በችኮላ እንዳታደርጉ ይገባል።

and they shall say : what is the matter with us that we do not see men whom we used to count among the vicious ?
ይላሉም « ለእኛ ምን አለን ? ከመጥፎዎች እንቆጥራቸው የነበሩትን ሰዎች ( እዚህ ) አናይምሳ ፡ ፡ »

and he gave you all that you had asked him . if you enumerate allah s blessings ’ , you will not be able to count them .
ከለመናችሁትም ሁሉ የሰጣችሁ ነው ፡ ፡ የአላህንም ጻጋ ብትቆጥሩ አትዘልቋትም ፡ ፡ ሰው በጣም በደለኛ ከሓዲ ነው ፡ ፡

and they will say , " why do we not see men whom we used to count among the worst ?
ይላሉም « ለእኛ ምን አለን ? ከመጥፎዎች እንቆጥራቸው የነበሩትን ሰዎች ( እዚህ ) አናይምሳ ፡ ፡ »

and they will say , " how is it that we do not see [ here any of the ] men whom we used to count among the wicked ,
ይላሉም « ለእኛ ምን አለን ? ከመጥፎዎች እንቆጥራቸው የነበሩትን ሰዎች ( እዚህ ) አናይምሳ ፡ ፡ »

and if you tried to enumerate the favors of god , you will not be able to count them . god is forgiving and merciful .
የአላህንም ጸጋ ብትቆጥሩ አትዘልቋትም ፡ ፡ አላህ በእርግጥ መሓሪ አዛኝ ነውና ፡ ፡

if you try to count the favours of god you will not be able to calculate . man is most unjust indeed , full of ingratitude .
ከለመናችሁትም ሁሉ የሰጣችሁ ነው ፡ ፡ የአላህንም ጻጋ ብትቆጥሩ አትዘልቋትም ፡ ፡ ሰው በጣም በደለኛ ከሓዲ ነው ፡ ፡

believers , if you marry believing women and divorce them before the marriage is consummated , you have no period to count against them . provide for them and release them kindly .
እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! ምእምናትን ባገባችሁና ከዚያም ሳትነኩዋቸው በፊት በፈታችኋቸው ጊዜ ለእናንተ በእነርሱ ላይ የምትቆጥሩዋት ዒዳ ምንም የላችሁም ፡ ፡ አጣቅሟቸውም ፤ ( ጉርሻ ስጧቸው ) ፡ ፡ መልካም ማሰናበትንም አሰናብቷቸው ፡ ፡

and if you enumerate the favours of allah , you will never be able to count them ; indeed allah is oft forgiving , most merciful .
የአላህንም ጸጋ ብትቆጥሩ አትዘልቋትም ፡ ፡ አላህ በእርግጥ መሓሪ አዛኝ ነውና ፡ ፡

and he has given you something of all what you asked . and if you were to count god s blessings ’ , you would not be able to enumerate them .
ከለመናችሁትም ሁሉ የሰጣችሁ ነው ፡ ፡ የአላህንም ጻጋ ብትቆጥሩ አትዘልቋትም ፡ ፡ ሰው በጣም በደለኛ ከሓዲ ነው ፡ ፡

and those who harm believing men and believing women for [ something ] other than what they have earned have certainly born upon themselves a slander and manifest sin .
እነዚያንም ምእምናንንና ምእምናነትን ባልሰሩት ነገር ( በመዝለፍ ) የሚያሰቃዩ ዕብለትንና ግልጽ ኃጢአትን በእርግጥ ተሸከሙ ፡ ፡

he has given you all that you asked of him ; and if you try to reckon up god 's favours , you will not be able to count them . truly man is very unjust , very ungrateful .
