እነርሱም ( ከሓዲዎቹ ) በእርግጥ ይሉ ነበሩ ፡ -

and indeed they used to say :
እነርሱም ( ከሓዲዎቹ ) በእርግጥ ይሉ ነበሩ ፡ -

and they surely were wont to say :
እነርሱም ( ከሓዲዎቹ ) በእርግጥ ይሉ ነበሩ ፡ -

and they used to say , " when we die and become dust and bones , are we indeed to be resurrected ?
ይሉም ነበሩ ፡ - « በሞትንና ዐፈር ፣ ዐጥንቶችም በኾን ጊዜ እኛ በእርግጥ የምንቀሰቀስ ነን ?

( moses ) said : and what hast thou to say , o samiri ?
( ሙሳ ) « ሳምራዊው ሆይ ! ነገርህም ምንድን ነው » አለ ፡ ፡

his command , when he wills a thing , is to say to it , “ be , ” and it comes to be .
ነገሩም አንዳችን በሻ ጊዜ ኹን ማለት ነው ፡ ፡ ወዲያው ይኾናልም ፡ ፡

but the fools among us used to say nonsense about god .
‹ እነሆም ቂላችን በአላህ ላይ ወሰን ያለፈን ( ውሸት ) ይናገር ነበር ፡ ፡ ›

all his command , when he wills something , is to say to it ‘ be , ’ and it is .
ነገሩም አንዳችን በሻ ጊዜ ኹን ማለት ነው ፡ ፡ ወዲያው ይኾናልም ፡ ፡

and it behoves me to say nothing about allah except what is true . i have come to you with a clear sign of having been sent from your lord .
« » በአላህ ላይ ከእውነት በቀር አለመናገር ተገቢዬ ነው ፡ ፡ ከጌታችሁ በተዓምር በእርግጥ መጣኋችሁ ፡ ፡ የእስራኤልንም ልጆች ከእኔ ጋር ልቀቅ ፡ ፡

all that we say to a thing , when we will it , is to say to it ‘ be ! ’ and it is .
ለማንኛውም ነገር ( መኾኑን ) በሻነው ጊዜ ቃላችን ለእርሱ « ኹን » ማለት ብቻ ነው ፤ ወዲውም ይኾናል ፡ ፡

and they used to say : what ! when we die and have become dust and bones , shall we then indeed be raised ?
ይሉም ነበሩ ፡ - « በሞትንና ዐፈር ፣ ዐጥንቶችም በኾን ጊዜ እኛ በእርግጥ የምንቀሰቀስ ነን ?

and they used to say , ‘ what ! when we are dead and become dust and bones , shall we be resurrected ? !
ይሉም ነበሩ ፡ - « በሞትንና ዐፈር ፣ ዐጥንቶችም በኾን ጊዜ እኛ በእርግጥ የምንቀሰቀስ ነን ?

and that “ the foolish among us have been wont to say outrageous things about allah ; ”
‹ እነሆም ቂላችን በአላህ ላይ ወሰን ያለፈን ( ውሸት ) ይናገር ነበር ፡ ፡ ›

and they used to say , " what ! when we die and become dust and bones , shall we then indeed be raised up again ? -
ይሉም ነበሩ ፡ - « በሞትንና ዐፈር ፣ ዐጥንቶችም በኾን ጊዜ እኛ በእርግጥ የምንቀሰቀስ ነን ?

" who used to say , ' what ! art thou amongst those who bear witness to the truth ( of the message ) ?
« በእርግጥ አንተ ከሚያምኑት ነህን ? የሚል ፡ ፡

it does not behoove me to say what i have no right to [ say ] . had i said it , you would certainly have known it : you know whatever is in my self , and i do not know what is in your self .
አላህም ፡ - « የመርየም ልጅ ዒሳ ሆይ ! አንተ ለሰዎቹ ፡ - እኔንና እናቴን ከአላህ ሌላ ሁለት አምላኮች አድርጋችሁ ያዙ ብላሃልን » በሚለው ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡ « ጥራት ይገባህ ፤ ለእኔ ተገቢዬ ያልኾነን ነገር ማለት ለኔ አይገባኝም ፡ ፡ ብዬው እንደ ኾነም በእርግጥ ዐውቀኸዋል ፡ ፡ በነፍሴ ውስጥ ያለውን ሁሉ ታውቃለህ ፡ ፡ ግን አንተ ዘንድ ያለውን አላውቅም ፡ ፡ አንተ ሩቆችን ሁሉ በጣም ዐዋቂ አንተ ብቻ ነህና » ይላል ፡ ፡

it was better for you to say , when you entered your garden : ' that which allah wills ( will come to pass ) ! there is no power but with allah ' .
« አትክልትህንም በገባህ ጊዜ አላህ የሻው ይኾናል ፤ በአላህ ቢኾን እንጂ ኀይል የለም ፤ አትልም ኖሯልን እኔን በገንዘብም በልጅም ካንተ በጣም ያነስኩ ሆኜ ብታየኝ ፡ ፡

[ commanded to say ] , " send with us the children of israel . " ' "
« የእስራኤልን ልጆች ከእኛ ጋር ልቀቅ ፡ ፡ »
