zato ovako govori jahve gospod: "kao što sam trs loze, meðu drugim drvetima, bacio u oganj da izgori, tako æu postupati i s jeruzalemcima!

kralj se potom pope u dom jahvin, sa svim judejcima, jeruzalemcima, sveæenicima, levitima i sa svim narodom, od najveæega do najmanjeg. i proèita im sve rijeèi knjige saveza što je naðena u domu jahvinu.

i reci puku zemlje: 'ovako govori jahve gospod jeruzalemcima u zemlji izraelovoj: zabrinuto æe jesti kruha i sa strepnjom piti vode, jer æe im zemlja opustjeti i ostat æe bez igdje ièega s bezakonja žitelja svojih.
and say unto the people of the land, thus saith the lord god of the inhabitants of jerusalem, and of the land of israel; they shall eat their bread with carefulness, and drink their water with astonishment, that her land may be desolate from all that is therein, because of the violence of all them that dwell therein.
