forse non te l'ho detto, ma mia nonna è nata a catania, quindi mi sento davvero a casa in sicilia, ma per me palermo è la mia vera casa. palermo e le persone vivono nel mio cuore. sento davvero che sarebbe stato meglio se i miei parenti non si fossero mai trasferiti dalla sicilia. e sarei stato un vero palermitano non solo un visitatore perché non mi sento un turista e non sarò mai un turista.
maybe i did not tell you but my grandmother was born in catania so i really feel at home in sicily but for me palermo is my real home. palermo and the people live in my heart. i really feel it would have been better if my relatives never moved from sicily. and i would have been a true palermitano not just a visitor because i do not feel like a tourist and will never be a tourist.

to know myself- and therefore know my buddha self in the silence of zazen. uncover myself in facades that i encounter in the everyday world, to welcome without categorizing the behavior of those around me. i feel the closeness of every member of the sangha. i feel the presence of the teacher in my life, and with her- through her - all of the ancient patriarchs.
