why is not an angel sent down to him to be a warner with him?
Što mu se ne spusti melek, pa da bude s njim opominjač?

and they say, "why is a sign not sent down to him from his lord?"
i govore: "zašto mu se ne objavi znak od gospodara njegovog?" zato reci: "nevidljivo je jedino allahovo.

and they said: "why is not a sign sent down to him from his lord?"
i govore: "zašto mu se ne spusti znak od gospodara njegovog?"

and those who disbelieve say: why is not a sign sent down upon him by his lord?
a oni koji ne vjeruju, govore: "Što mu se ne spusti znak od gospodara njegovog?"

and the disbelievers say: "why is not a sign sent down to him from his lord?"
a oni koji ne vjeruju govore: "zašto mu gospodar njegov ne pošalje čudo?"

and why have not armlets of gold been bestowed on him and why is there not a train of angels accompanying him?"
pa zašto na njega nisu stavljene narukvice od zlata ili s njim došli meleci (kao) pratioci?"

and those who disbelieve say: why is the qur'an not revealed unto him all at once?
a oni koji ne vjeruju, govore: "zašto mu se ne objavi cio kur'an odjednom?"

why is it that, whenever they make a covenant, some of them cast it aside? most of them do not believe.
zar svaki put kada neku obavezu preuzmu – neki od njih je odbace jer većina njih ne vjeruje.

a oni koji ne vjeruju, govore: "zašto mu se ne objavi cio kur'an odjednom?"
