they said , “ unless you refrain , o lot , you will be expelled . ”
( እነርሱም ) አሉ « ሉጥ ሆይ ! ባትከለከል በእርግጥ ( ከአገር ) ከሚወጡት ትኾናለህ ፡ ፡ »

they said , “ if you do not refrain , o noah , you will be stoned . ”
« ኑሕ ሆይ ! ( ከምትለው ) ባትከለከል በእርግጥ ከሚወገሩት ትኾናለህ » አሉት ፡ ፡

there is life for you in retaliation , o people of understanding , so that you may refrain .
ለእናንተም ባለ አእምሮዎች ሆይ ! በማመሳሰል ( ሕግ ) ውስጥ ሕይወት አላችሁ ፡ ፡ ትጠነቀቁ ዘንድ ( ገዳይን መግደል ተደነገገላችሁ ) ፡ ፡

and only those attain true success who obey allah and his messenger and fear allah and refrain from his disobedience .
አላህንና መልክተኛውን የሚታዘዝም ሰው ፣ አላህንም የሚፈራና የሚጠነቀቀው ሰው ፤ እነዚያ እነርሱ ፍለጎታቸውን የሚያገኙ ናቸው ፡ ፡

there is security of life for you in the law of retribution . it is expected that you will refrain from breaking this law .
ለእናንተም ባለ አእምሮዎች ሆይ ! በማመሳሰል ( ሕግ ) ውስጥ ሕይወት አላችሁ ፡ ፡ ትጠነቀቁ ዘንድ ( ገዳይን መግደል ተደነገገላችሁ ) ፡ ፡

then , when they rebelled against the commands to refrain , we said to them , “ be despicable apes . ”
ከእርሱም ከተከለከሉት ነገር በኮሩ ጊዜ ለእነሱ « ወረዶች ዝንጀሮች ኹኑ አልን ፤ » ( ኾኑም ) ፡ ፡

and partake of the lawful , good things which allah has provided you as sustenance , and refrain from disobeying allah in whom you believe .
አላህም ከሰጣችሁ ሲሳይ የተፈቀደ ጣፋጭ ሲኾን ብሉ ፡ ፡ ያንንም እናንተ በርሱ አማኞች የኾናችሁበትን አላህን ፍሩ ፡ ፡

and do not follow the other paths , lest they divert you from his path . all this he has enjoined upon you , that you may refrain from wrongdoing .
« ይህም ቀጥተኛ ሲኾን መንገዴ ነው ፤ ተከተሉትም ፡ ፡ ( የጥመት ) መንገዶችንም አትከተሉ ፡ ፡ ከ ( ቀጥተኛው ) መንገዱ እናንተን ይለያዩዋችኋልና ፡ ፡ እነሆ ትጠነቀቁ ዘንድ በርሱ አዘዛችሁ ፡ ፡ »

“ o abraham , refrain from this . the command of your lord has come ; they have incurred an irreversible punishment . ”
« ኢብራሂም ሆይ ! ከዚህ ( ክርክር ) ተው ፡ ፡ እነሆ የጌታህ ትዕዛዝ በእርግጥ መጥቷል ፡ ፡ እነሱም የማይመለስ ቅጣት የሚመጣባቸው ናቸው » ( አሉት ) ፡ ፡

of those who answered the call of allah and the messenger , even after being wounded , those who do right and refrain from wrong have a great reward ; -
እነዚያ መቁሰል ካገኛቸው በኋላ ለአላህና ለመልክተኛው የታዘዙት ከእነሱ ለነዚያ በጎ ለሠሩትና ለተጠነቀቁት ታላቅ ምንዳ አላቸው ፡ ፡

your wives are your tilth : so you may go to your tilth as you please , but you should take care of your future and refrain from the displeasure of allah . know it well that one day you shall meet him .
ሴቶቻችሁ ለናንተ እርሻ ናቸው ፡ ፡ እርሻችሁንም በፈለጋችሁት ኹነታ ድረሱ ፡ ፡ ለነፍሶቻችሁም ( መልካም ሥራን ) አስቀድሙ ፡ ፡ አላህንም ፍሩ ፡ ፡ እናንተም ተገናኝዎቹ መኾናችሁን ዕወቁ ፡ ፡ ምእመናንንም ( በገነት ) አብስር ፡ ፡

whoever , on receiving advice from his lord , refrains , may keep his past earnings , and his case rests with god . but whoever resumes — these are the dwellers of the fire , wherein they will abide forever .
እነዚያ አራጣን የሚበሉ ያ ሰይጣን ከመንካቱ የተነሳ የሚጥለው ሰው ( ከአውድቁ ) እንደሚነሳ ብጤ እንጅ ( ከመቃብራቸው ) አይነሱም ፡ ፡ ይህ እነርሱ መሸጥ የአራጣ ብጤ ብቻ ነው በማለታቸው ነው ፡ ፡ ግን መሸጥን አላህ ፈቅዷል ፡ ፡ አራጣንም እርም አድርጓል ፡ ፡ ከጌታውም ግሳጼ የመጣለትና የተከለከለ ሰው ለርሱ ( ከመከልከሉ በፊት ) ያለፈው አለው ፡ ፡ ነገሩም ወደ አላህ ነው ፤ ( አራጣን ወደ መብላት ) የተመለሰም ሰው እነዚያ የእሳት ጓዶች ናቸው ፡ ፡ እነርሱ በውስጧ ዘውታሪዎች ናቸው ፡ ፡
