Ӯ дар баробари ҳеҷ як аз корҳое, ки мекунад, пурсида намешавад, вале мардум пурсида мешаванд.

remind them hereby lest a man is doomed for what he has done.
Ва ба Қуръон пандашон деҳ мабодо бар ҷазои амалҳои хеш гирифтор ояид.

what allah has given me is better than what he has given you.
Он чӣ Худо ба ман дода, аз он чӣ ба шумо дода беҳтар аст.

a day when man will remember what he has endeavored.
рӯзе, ки одамӣ ҳамаи амалҳои худро ба ёд оварад

and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for,
Ва ин ки: барои мардум музде ғайри он чӣ худ кардаанд, нест?

had god willed, he could have made you a single nation, but he tests you through what he has given you.
Ва агар Худо мехост, ҳамаи шуморо як уммат месохт. Вале хост дар он чӣ бар шумо арзонӣ доштааст, биёзмоядатон.

from the evil of what he has created,
аз шарри он чӣ биёфаридааст

if a man perishes having no children, but he has a sister, she shall receive a half of what he leaves, and he is her heir if she has no children.
Агар хоҳарро низ фарзанде набошад, бародар аз ӯ мерос мебарад.

this is what he has enjoined upon you so that you may exercise your reason.
Инхост он чӣ Худо шуморо ба он супориш мекунад, бошад, ки ба ақл дарёбед!

Ҳар чӣ паёмбар ба шумо дод, биситонед ва аз ҳар чӣ шуморо манъ кард, парҳез кунед.

and he has subjected to you what is in the heavens and what is in the earth, all together, from him.
Роми шумо сохт он чӣ дар осмонҳост ва он чӣ дар замин аст. Ҳама аз они Ӯст.

and if the heirs are two sisters, they shall have two-thirds of what he has left behind.
Агар он хоҳарон ду тан буданд, ду сеяки дороиро мерос мебаранд.

then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind.
ҳар кас медонад, чӣ чиз пешопеш фиристода ва чӣ чиз бар ҷой гузоштааст.

or has he taken, out of what he has created, daughters and chosen you for [having] sons?
Оё Ӯ аз миёни махлуқонаш барои Худ духтарон баргирифта ва писаронро хоси шумо кардааст?
