for if thou refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still,
ด้วยว่าถ้าเจ้าไม่ยอมปล่อยให้ไป และยังหน่วงเหนี่ยวเขาไว

the desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.
ความปรารถนาของคนเกียจคร้านฆ่าตัวเขาเอง เพราะมือของเขาปฏิเสธไม่ทำงา

alas the woe for those who refuse to believe in the day which has been promised them.
ดังนั้น ความหายนะจะประสบแด่ บรรดาผู้ปฏิเสธศรัทธาในวันของพวกเขาซึ่ง ได้ถูกสัญญาไว้

the robbery of the wicked shall destroy them; because they refuse to do judgment.
ความทารุณของคนชั่วร้ายจะกวาดเขาไป เพราะเขาปฏิเสธไม่ยอมทำสิ่งที่ยุติธรร

and if thou refuse to let them go, behold, i will smite all thy borders with frogs:
ถ้าท่านไม่ยอมให้เขาไป ดูเถิด เราจะให้ฝูงกบขึ้นมารังควานทั่วเขตแดนของท่า

yet now (that it has come) they refuse to believe in it; but they will come to know soon.

and whoever will refuse to accept it and defy our revelations they shall be doomed to the fire wherein they shall remain for ever.
และบรรดาผู้ที่ปฏิเสธศรัทธา และไม่เชื่อบรรดาโองการของเรานั้น ชนเหล่านี้คือชาวนรก โดยที่พวกเขาจะอยู่ในนรกนั้นตลอดกาล

no soul can believe except by god’s leave; and he lays disgrace upon those who refuse to understand.
และมิเคยปรากฏว่าชีวิตใดจะศรัทธาเว้นแต่ด้วยอนุมัติของอัลลอฮ์ และพระองค์จะทรงลงโทษแก่บรรดาผู้ไม่ใช้สติปัญญา

but when the truth came to them, they said, “this is sorcery, and we refuse to believe in it.”
ครั้งเมื่อได้มีสัจธรรมมายังพวกเขา พวกเขาก็กล่าวว่า นี้คือมายากล และแท้จริง พวกเราเป็นผู้ปฏิเสธศรัทธาต่อสัจธรรมนั้น

your god is the one god. as for those who do not believe in the hereafter, their hearts refuse to admit the truth and they are arrogant.

but god will turn the joke against them and allow them to sink deeper into evil and wander perplexed in their wickedness.
อัลลอฮฺจะทรงเย้ยหยันพวกเขา และจะทรงยืดเวลาให้พวกเขาระเหเร่ร่อนอยู่ในการละเมิดของพวกเขาต่อไป

but the quran is a revelation that is clear to the hearts of those endowed with knowledge. only the evil-doers refuse to acknowledge our revelations.
มิใช่เช่นนั้นดอก มันคือโองการทั้งหลายอันแจ้งชัดอยู่ในหัวอกของบรรดาผู้ได้รับความรู้ และไม่มีผู้ใดปฏิเสธโองการทั้งหลายของเรานอกจากพวกอธรรม

do you feel secure that he who is in heaven will not cause the earth to sink beneath you and then begin to quake?
พวกเจ้าจะปลอดภัยละหรือ จากการที่พระองค์ทรงสถิตย์อยู่ ณ ฟากฟ้าจะให้แผ่นดินสูบพวกเจ้าแล้วขณะนั้นมันจะหวั่นไหว

do you feel secure that we will not cause a part of the land to sink or engulf you with sand storms when you would find no one to protect you?
พวกเจ้าจะปลอดภัยละหรือ หากพระองค์จะทรงให้ริมฝั่งนั้นถล่มลงไปกับพวกเจ้า หรือจะทรงส่งลมหอบกรวดกระหน่ำลงมาใส่พวกเจ้าแล้วพวกเจ้าจะไม่พบผู้ใดเป็นผู้คุ้มครองพวกเจ้าเลย

say, "have you considered if your water were to sink into the ground, who could then bring you flowing water?"
จงกล่าวเถิดมุฮัมมัด พวกท่านจงบอกฉันซิว่า หากแหล่งน้ำของพวกท่านเหือดแห้งลง ดังนั้นผู้ใดเล่าจะนำน้ำที่ท่วมทันมาให้พวกท่าน

have you not regarded those who were given a share of the book, who are summoned to the book of allah in order that it may judge between them, whereat a part of them refuse to comply and they are disregardful?
เจ้า (มุฮัมมัด) มิได้มองดูบรรดาผู้ที่ได้รับส่วนหนึ่งจากคัมภีร์ ดอกหรือ? โดยที่พวกเขาถูกเชิญไปสู่คัมภีร์ของอัลลอฮ์ เพื่อคัมภีร์นั้นจะได้ตัดสินระหว่างพวกเขา (พวกผิดประเวณี) แล้วกลุ่มหนึ่งในหมู่พวกเขาก็ผินหลังให้และพวกเขาก็กำลังผินหลังให้อยู่
