therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with god through our lord jesus christ:

that being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

så mycket mer skola vi därför, sedan vi nu hava blivit rättfärdiggjorda i och genom hans blod, också genom honom bliva frälsta undan vredesdomen.
much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

sådana voro ock somliga bland eder, men i haven låtit två eder rena, i haven blivit helgade, i haven blivit rättfärdiggjorda i herrens, jesu kristi, namn och i vår guds ande.
and such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the lord jesus, and by the spirit of our god.

och eftersom skriften förutsåg att det var av tro som hedningarna skulle bliva rättfärdiggjorda av gud, så gav den i förväg åt abraham detta glada budskap: »i dig skola alla folk varda välsignade.»
and the scripture, foreseeing that god would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto abraham, saying, in thee shall all nations be blessed.
