molte cicatrici rimangono evidenti perchè l'ombra che viene creata dall'introflessione dei margini rende più evidente la stessa. in questi casi è possibile asportare le cicatrici e risuturare i margini con tecniche particolari (dermoplastica).

a pochi chilometri da greve si trova panzano, popoloso paese del chianti. sin dal xii secolo panzano ha svolto un ruolo importante nella difesa dei territori di firenze. il castello di panzano fu infatti un'importante baluardo a difesa della repubblica di firenze nelle guerre tra firenze e siena. del castello rimangono evidenti tracce nel borgo antico, dominato oggi dalla chiesa di s. maria, risalente al 1200, ma completamente ricostruita nel 1800 secondo lo stile neoclassico.
