the fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;

lwakhula lwada lwesa kumkhosi wezulu, lwayiwisa emhlabeni inxenye yomkhosi lowo weenkwenkwezi, lwayinyhasha.
and it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.

nabaqubuda kumkhosi wezulu phezu kwezindlu, nabaqubudi abazinikela kuyehova ngesifungo, bafunge ukumkani wabo;

and all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.

kodwa ke isiphunzi esineengcambu zawo sishiyeni emhlabeni, siphanjiwe ngesinyithi nobhedu eluhlazeni lwasendle. masinyakamiswe ngumbethe wezulu; makahlulelane neenkomo ngotyani bomhlaba.
nevertheless leave the stump of his roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts in the grass of the earth:

isihlabo selizwe likayehova, esisingisele kusirayeli. utsho uyehova, umaneki wezulu, umseki wehlabathi, umenzi womoya womntu phakathi kwakhe, ukuthi,
the burden of the word of the lord for israel, saith the lord, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.

xa ke thina bafazi siqhumiselayo kukumkanikazi wezulu, simthululelayo iminikelo ethululwayo, simenzela izonkana zokuba eyilwa, simthululela iminikelo ethululwayo, amadoda ethu akakho na kuthi?
and when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men?

wabuya wazakha iziganga, awayezidilizile uhezekiya uyise, wammisela ubhahali izibingelelo, wenza ooashera, njengoko wenzayo uahabhi ukumkani wakwasirayeli, waqubuda kumkhosi wonke wezulu, wawukhonza.
for he built up again the high places which hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for baal, and made a grove, as did ahab king of israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.

wajika ke uthixo, wabanikela ukuba bakhonze umkhosi wezulu; njengoko kubhaliweyo encwadini yabaprofeti kwathiwa, ningaba nisondeze kum imibingelelo neminikelo yini na iminyaka emashumi mane entlango, ndlu kasirayeli?

and he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of judah, and in the places round about jerusalem; them also that burned incense unto baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of heaven.
