and the child samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the lord, and also with men.
ug ang bata nga si samuel mitubo ug miuswag sa pagkahinimut-an ni jehova ug sa mga tawo.

then eli called samuel, and said, samuel, my son. and he answered, here am i.
unya si eli nagtawag kang samuel, ug miingon: samuel, anak ko. ug siya miingon: ania ako.

and when they were come down from the high place into the city, samuel communed with saul upon the top of the house.

and all israel from dan even to beer-sheba knew that samuel was established to be a prophet of the lord.
ug ang tibook israel gikan sa dan bisan ngadto sa beer-seba nanghibalo nga si samuel nahimutang aron mahimo nga usa ka manalagna ni jehova.

then jesse called abinadab, and made him pass before samuel. and he said, neither hath the lord chosen this.
unya si isai mitawag kang abinadab, ug gipaagi siya sa atubangan ni samuel. ug siya miingon: wala si jehova magpili niini.

and samuel said, what meaneth then this bleating of the sheep in mine ears, and the lowing of the oxen which i hear?
ug si samuel miingon: unsay kahulogan niining pagtiyabaw sa mga carnero sa akong mga igdulungog, ug ang pag-inga sa mga vaca nga akong nadungog?

yea, and all the prophets from samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.
ug ang tanang mga profeta sukad pa kang samuel ug sa mga nagsunod kaniya, ang tanan kanila nga misulti, nanagpahibalo usab mahitungod niining mga adlawa.

and when samuel saw saul, the lord said unto him, behold the man whom i spake to thee of! this same shall reign over my people.
ug sa diha nga si samuel nakakita kang saul, si jehova, miingon kaniya: ania karon, ang tawo nga akong gisulti kanimo! ang mao nga tawo magaadunay pagbulot-an ibabaw sa akong katawohan.

and samuel said unto him, the lord hath rent the kingdom of israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou.
ug si samuel miingon kaniya: si jehova naggisi sa gingharian sa israel gikan kanimo niining adlawa, ug naghatag niana sa usa ka silingan nimo, nga maayo pa kay kanimo.

and samuel said, as thy sword hath made women childless, so shall thy mother be childless among women. and samuel hewed agag in pieces before the lord in gilgal.
ug si samuel miingon: ingon nga ang imong pinuti nakapawalay bata sa mga babaye, sa ingon niana ang imong inahan mawalay bata sa taliwala sa mga kababayen-an. ug si samuel mitagodtagod kang agag sa atubangan ni jehova didto sa gilgal.

then samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, is it not because the lord hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance?
unya si samuel mikuha sa garrapa sa lana, ug nagbubo niana sa ibabaw sa iyang ulo, ug mihalok kaniya, ug miingon: dili ba mao si jehova ang nagdihog kanimo aron mahimong principe sa iyang panulondon?

and when the woman saw samuel, she cried with a loud voice: and the woman spake to saul, saying, why hast thou deceived me? for thou art saul.
ug sa pagkakita sa babaye kang samuel, siya misinggit sa usa ka hataas nga tingog; ug ang babaye misulti kang saul, nga nagaingon: nganong naglimbong ka kanako? kay ikaw mao si saul.

and saul said unto samuel, yea, i have obeyed the voice of the lord, and have gone the way which the lord sent me, and have brought agag the king of amalek, and have utterly destroyed the amalekites.
ug si saul miingon kang samuel: oo, ako nakatuman sa tingog ni jehova, ug naglakaw sa dalan nga gipaadtoan ni jehova kanako, ug nakadala kang agag ang hari sa amalec, ug naglaglag paghurot sa mga amalecahanon.
