and judas iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray him unto them.
ከአሥራ ሁለቱም አንዱ የአስቆሮቱ ይሁዳ አሳልፎ ሊሰጠው ወደ ካህናት አለቆች ሄደ።

then he reduced them to fragments , all save the chief of them , that haply they might have recourse to it .
( ዘወር ሲሉ ) ስብርብሮችም አደረጋቸው ፡ ፡ ለእነሱ የኾነ አንድ ታላቅ ( ጣዖት ) ብቻ ሲቀር ወደርሱ ይመለሱ ዘንድ ( እርሱን ተወው ) ፡ ፡

and he taught daily in the temple. but the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,
ዕለት ዕለትም በመቅደስ ያስተምር ነበር፤ ነገር ግን የካህናት አለቆችና ጻፎች የሕዝቡ ታላላቆችም ሊገድሉት ይፈልጉ ነበር፥

the chiefs of the people of fir 'awn said : verily this is a magician knowing .
ከፈርዖን ሰዎች መማክርቶቹ ፡ - « ይህ በእርግጥ ዐዋቂ ድግምተኛ ነው » አሉ ፡ ፡

( በአደም ነገር ) « በሚከራከሩ ጊዜ በላይኛው ሰራዊት ለእኔ ምንም ዕውቀት አልነበረኝም ፡ ፡

( በአደም ነገር ) « በሚከራከሩ ጊዜ በላይኛው ሰራዊት ለእኔ ምንም ዕውቀት አልነበረኝም ፡ ፡

said the chiefs of the people of pharaoh : " this is indeed a sorcerer well-versed .
ከፈርዖን ሰዎች መማክርቶቹ ፡ - « ይህ በእርግጥ ዐዋቂ ድግምተኛ ነው » አሉ ፡ ፡

nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:
ከዚህም ጋር ከአለቆች ደግሞ ብዙዎች በእርሱ አመኑ፤ ነገር ግን ከምኵራብ እንዳያስወጡአቸው በፈሪሳውያን ምክንያት አልመሰከሩለትም፤

እኛ ተራራዎችን ከቀትር በኋላና በረፋድም ከእርሱ ጋር የሚያወድሱ ሲሆኑ ገራንለት ፡ ፡

ከከተማይቱም ዳርቻ አንድ ሰው እየሮጠ መጣ ፡ ፡ « ሙሳ ሆይ ! ሹማምንቶቹ ሊገድሉህ ባንተ ይመካከራሉና ውጣ ፡ ፡ እኔ ላንተ ከመካሪዎች ነኝና » አለው ፡ ፡

and immediately, while he yet spake, cometh judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.
ወዲያውም ገና ሲናገር ከአሥራ ሁለቱ አንዱ ይሁዳ መጣ፥ ከእርሱም ጋር ብዙ ሰዎች ሰይፍና ጐመድ ይዘው ከካህናት አለቆችና ከጻፎች ከሽማግሌዎችም ዘንድ መጡ።

joseph said : " i did this so that he [ i.e. the chief ) may know that i did not betray him in his absence , and that allah does not allow the design of the treacherous to succeed .
( ዩሱፍ ) « ይህ ( ጌታዬ ) ሩቅ ሆኖ ሳለ ያልከዳሁት መሆኔን አላህም የከዳተኞችን ተንኮል የማያቃና መሆኑን እንዲያውቅ ነው ፤ » ( አለ ) ፡ ፡
