''তারপর বলো -- 'তোমার কি আগ্রহ আছে যে তুমি পবিত্র হও?’

how then can you comprehend what the day of judgement is ?
অতঃপর আপনি জানেন , বিচার দিবস কি ?

আদ সম ্ প ্ রদায় মিথ ্ যারোপ করেছিল , অতঃপর কেমন কঠোর হয়েছিল আমার শাস ্ তি ও সতর ্ কবাণী ।

then say : have you ( a desire ) to purify yourself :
''তারপর বলো -- 'তোমার কি আগ্রহ আছে যে তুমি পবিত্র হও?’

they will then say : “ woe for us . this is the day of judgement . ”
আর তারা বলবে -- ''হায় ধিক্‌, আমাদের! এটিই তো বিচারের দিন!’’

but if they disobey you , then say : surely i am clear of what you do .
কিন ্ ত তারা যদি তোমার অবাধ ্ যতা করে তবে বলো -- ''আমি আলবৎ দায়মুক্ত তোমরা যা কর সে সন্বন্ধে।’’

then say to him a gentle saying ; haply he may be admonished or he may fear .
''আর তার কাছে তোমরা বল সুরুচিসম্পন্ন কথা, হয়ত বা সে অনুধাবন করবে, অথবা সে ভয় করবে।’’

and if they dispute with you , then say , " allah is most knowing of what you do .
আর যদি তোমার সঙ ্ গে তারা তর ্ ক-বিতর ্ ক করে তবে বল -- ''আল্লাহ ভাল জানেন যা তোমরা করছো।’’

they will surely say : god 's . say thou : how then are ye turned away ?
এখন তারা বলবেঃ আল ্ লাহর । বলুনঃ তাহলে কোথা থেকে তোমাদেরকে জাদু করা হচ ্ ছে ?

' allah ' they will reply . say : ' how then can you be so bewitched '
এখন তারা বলবেঃ আল ্ লাহর । বলুনঃ তাহলে কোথা থেকে তোমাদেরকে জাদু করা হচ ্ ছে ?

how then , if you disbelieve , will you preserve yourselves on the day which will even turn the children hoary ?
অতএব , তোমরা কিরূপে আত ্ নরক ্ ষা করবে যদি তোমরা সেদিনকে অস ্ বীকার কর , যেদিন বালককে করে দিব বৃদ ্ ধ ?

and if they disobey you , then say , " indeed , i am disassociated from what you are doing . "
কিন ্ ত তারা যদি তোমার অবাধ ্ যতা করে তবে বলো -- ''আমি আলবৎ দায়মুক্ত তোমরা যা কর সে সন্বন্ধে।’’

how then shall it be , when we bring forward from every nation a witness , and bring thee to witness against those ?
আর তখন কি অবস ্ থা দাঁড়াবে , যখন আমি ডেকে আনব প ্ রতিটি উম ্ মতের মধ ্ য থেকে অবস ্ থা বর ্ ণনাকারী এবং আপনাকে ডাকব তাদের উপর অবস ্ থা বর ্ ণনাকারীরূপে ।

and on the day when he will raise them all , and then say to the angels , “ did they worship you ? ”
আর সেইদিন তিনি তাদের একত ্ রিত করবেন সমবেতভাবে , তখন তিনি ফিরিশ ্ ‌ তাদের বলবেন -- ''এরাই কি তোমাদের পূজা করে থাকতো?’’

how , then , will you guard yourselves , if you disbelieve , on the day which shall make children grey-headed ?
অতএব , তোমরা কিরূপে আত ্ নরক ্ ষা করবে যদি তোমরা সেদিনকে অস ্ বীকার কর , যেদিন বালককে করে দিব বৃদ ্ ধ ?

( people will then say ) : “ our lord , remove this scourge from us ; we shall believe . ”
''আমাদের প্রভু! আমাদের থেকে শাস্তি সরিয়ে নাও, নিঃসন্দেহ আমরা বিশ্বাসী হচ্ছি।’’

if thou ask them , who created them , they will certainly say , allah : how then are they deluded away ( from the truth ) ?
আর তুমি যদি তাদের জিজ ্ ঞাসা কর -- কে তাদের সৃষ ্ টি করেছেন , তারা নিশ ্ চয়ই বলবে -- ''আল্লাহ্‌’’। তাহলে কোথায়-কেমনে তারা ফিরে যাচ্ছে!
