اس کے بعد جب ہم نے ایک مّدت کے لئے عذاب کو برطرف کردیا تو پھر اپنے عہد کو توڑنے والوں میں شامل ہوگئے

and when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);-
اور جب رسول وقت معین پرجمع کیے جائیں گے

saying: make ample (coats of mail), and assign a time to the making of coats of mail and do good; surely i am seeing what you do.
(اور ارشاد فرمایا) کہ کشادہ زرہیں بناؤ اور (ان کے) حلقے جوڑنے میں اندازے کو ملحوظ رکھو اور (اے آلِ داوؤد!) تم لوگ نیک عمل کرتے رہو، میں اُن (کاموں) کو جو تم کرتے ہو خوب دیکھنے والا ہوں،

[moses] said, "then go. and indeed, it is [decreed] for you in [this] life to say, 'no contact.' and indeed, you have an appointment [in the hereafter] you will not fail to keep. and look at your 'god' to which you remained devoted. we will surely burn it and blow it into the sea with a blast.
(موسٰی علیہ السلام نے) فرمایا: پس تو (یہاں سے نکل کر) چلا جا چنانچہ تیرے لئے (ساری) زندگی میں یہ (سزا) ہے کہ تو (ہر کسی کو یہی) کہتا رہے: (مجھے) نہ چھونا (مجھے نہ چھونا)، اور بیشک تیرے لئے ایک اور وعدۂ (عذاب) بھی ہے جس کی ہرگز خلاف ورزی نہ ہوگی، اور تو اپنے اس (من گھڑت) معبود کی طرف دیکھ جس (کی پوجا) پر تو جم کر بیٹھا رہا، ہم اسے ضرور جلا ڈالیں گے پھر ہم اس (کی راکھ) کو ضرور دریا میں اچھی طرح بکھیر دیں گے،
