kama hivyo tuliwateremshia walio gawa,

and indeed we had firmly established them with that wherewith we have not established you (o quraish)!
na bila ya shaka tuliwaweka vizuri sio kama tulivyo kuwekeni nyinyi; na tuliwapa masikio, na macho, na nyoyo.

(it is a great grace and protection from allah), for the taming of the quraish,
kwa walivyo zoea maqureshi,

have they (the people of the past) transmitted this saying to these (quraish pagans)?
je! wameambizana kwa haya?

are your unbelievers, (o quraish), better than they? or have ye an immunity in the sacred books?
je! makafiri wenu ni bora kuliko hao, au yameandikwa vitabuni kuwa nyinyi hamtiwi makosani?

[it is said by some interpreters regarding this verse that the quraish pagans plotted against prophet muhammad saw to kill him but they failed and were unable to carry out their plot which they plotted].
wala vitimbi vyao si vya kuondosha milima.

then, o people of quraish, you too must return from the place where the people return from, and ask forgiveness from allah; indeed allah is oft forgiving, most merciful.
