we would be single-minded slaves of allah.
мо аз бандагони мухлиси Худо мебудем».

Кош бори дигар ба дунё бозгардем, то аз мӯъминон гардем».

indeed, then i would be in manifest error.
Ва дар ин ҳолат ман дар гумроҳии ошкор бошам.

if only we could return we would be among the believers."
Кош бори дигар ба дунё бозгардем, то аз мӯъминон гардем».

had there been another turn for us, we would be among the faithful.’
Кош бори дигар ба дунё бозгардем, то аз мӯъминон гардем».

if only we could have another chance, we would be among the faithful.”

if we willed, surely we would make it chaff, so that ye would be left wondering.
Агар мехостем, хошокаш месохтем, то дар ҳайрат бимонед.

Ҳар гоҳ пас аз огоҳӣ паи хоҳишҳои эшон биравӣ, аз ситамкорон хоҳӣ буд.

Гуфтанд: «Бо ин гурӯҳи нерӯманд, ки мо ҳастем, агар гург ӯро бихӯрад, аз зиёнкорон хоҳем буд».

and they said, ‘are we to follow a lone human from ourselves?! indeed then we would be in error and madness.’
Гуфтанд: «агар аз инсоне монанди худ пайравӣ кунем, гумроҳу девона бошем!

(do you think) we would be paid back our due when we are dead and reduced to dust and bones?'
Оё он гоҳ, ки мурдему хоку устухон шудем, ҷазоямон медиҳанд?»

and they say: "if we follow the guidance with you, we would be snatched away from our land."
Гуфтанд: «Агар аз дини ту пайравӣ кунем, моро аз сарзаминамон бармекананд».

will anyone intercede for us or send us back (to life) so that we would be able to act in a different manner to that which we had done before?"
Ё он ки касе ҳаст, ки моро бозгардовад то корҳои дигаре ҷуз он корҳо, ки мекардем, анҷом диҳем?»

he said: allah protect us that we should seize other than him with whom we found our property, for then most surely we would be unjust.
Гуфт: «Худо накунад, ки ҷуз он касро, ки бори худ назди ӯ ёфтаем, бигирем. Агар чунин кунем, аз ситамкорон хоҳем буд».

and were it not that mankind would be one nation, we would have appointed for those who disbelieve in the all-merciful roofs of silver to their houses, and stairs whereon to mount,
Ва агар на он буд, ки ҳамаи мардум як уммат намешуданд, сақфҳои хонаҳои касонеро, ки Худои раҳмонро бовар надоранд, аз нуқра мекардем ва бар онҳо нардбонҳое, мениҳодем, то бар он боло раванд.

and could you see when they are made to stand before the fire, then they shall say: would that we were sent back, and we would not reject the communications of our lord and we would be of the believers.
Агар онҳоро дар он рӯз, ки баробари оташ нигоҳашон доштаанд, бингарӣ, мегӯянд: «Эй кош, моро бозгардонанд, то оёти Парвардигорамонро дурӯғ нагӯем ва аз мӯъминон бошем!»

if you could only see when they are set before the fire. they will say, "if only we could be sent back. then we would not deny the signs of our lord and we would be of the believers."
Агар онҳоро дар он рӯз, ки баробари оташ нигоҳашон доштаанд, бингарӣ, мегӯянд: «Эй кош, моро бозгардонанд, то оёти Парвардигорамонро дурӯғ нагӯем ва аз мӯъминон бошем!»

he said, “god forbid that we should arrest anyone except him in whose possession we found our property; for then we would be unjust.”
Гуфт: «Худо накунад, ки ҷуз он касро, ки бори худ назди ӯ ёфтаем, бигирем. Агар чунин кунем, аз ситамкорон хоҳем буд».

"may god forgive us," he said, "if we hold any one but him with whom we found our property, or else we would be unjust."
Гуфт: «Худо накунад, ки ҷуз он касро, ки бори худ назди ӯ ёфтаем, бигирем. Агар чунин кунем, аз ситамкорон хоҳем буд».
