Ва Парвардигори ту аз пушти банӣ-Одам фарзандонашро берун овард. Ва ононро бар худашон гувоҳ гирифт ва пурсид: «Оё Ман Парвардигоратон нестам?»

"alas!" he cried, "am i not able even to be like this raven, so that i may hide the corpse of my brother?"
Гуфт: «Вой бар ман, натавонам монанди ин зоғ бошам ва ҷасади бародарамро дафн кунам».

and when your lord brought forth from the children of adam, from their backs, their descendants, and made them bear witness against their own souls: am i not your lord?
Ва Парвардигори ту аз пушти банӣ-Одам фарзандонашро берун овард. Ва ононро бар худашон гувоҳ гирифт ва пурсид: «Оё Ман Парвардигоратон нестам?»

when your lord brings forth from their loins the offspring of the children of adam, he makes them witnesses over themselves, (and asks): "am i not your lord?"
Ва Парвардигори ту аз пушти банӣ-Одам фарзандонашро берун овард. Ва ононро бар худашон гувоҳ гирифт ва пурсид: «Оё Ман Парвардигоратон нестам?»

when your lord brought forth descendants from the loins of adam's children, and made them testify concerning themselves (he said): 'am i not your lord.'
Ва Парвардигори ту аз пушти банӣ-Одам фарзандонашро берун овард. Ва ононро бар худашон гувоҳ гирифт ва пурсид: «Оё Ман Парвардигоратон нестам?»

when your lord took from the children of adam, from their loins, their descendants and made them bear witness over themselves, [he said to them,] ‘am i not your lord?’
