Եւ Աննան նրան կապած ուղարկեց Կայիափա քահանայապետի մօտ:
now annas had sent him bound unto caiaphas the high priest.

Եւ աշակերտներից մէկը հարուածեց քահանայապետի ծառային եւ կտրեց դէն գցեց նրա աջ ականջը:
and one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.

Այն ժամանակ քահանայապետները եւ օրէնսգէտներն ու ժողովրդի ծերերը հաւաքուեցին Կայիափա անունով քահանայապետի դահլիճը
then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called caiaphas,

Եւ նախ նրան տարան Աննայի մօտ, որը Կայիափայի՝ այդ տարուայ քահանայապետի աներն էր:
and led him away to annas first; for he was father in law to caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year.

Ապա նրա շուրջը գտնուողներից մէկը սուրը քաշեց եւ զարկեց քահանայապետի ծառային ու նրա ականջը կտրեց:
and one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.

Եւ Յիսուսին տարան Կայիափա քահանայապետի մօտ. եւ նրա հետ հաւաքուած էին բոլոր քահանայապետները, օրէնսգէտներն ու ծերերը:
and they led jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.

Եւ բռնելով նրան՝ տարան եւ մտցրին քահանայապետի տունը. իսկ Պետրոսը հեռուից գնում էր նրա յետեւից:
then took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest's house. and peter followed afar off.

Եւ ահա Յիսուսի հետ գտնուողներից մէկը ձեռքը երկարեց եւ իր սուրը հանեց ու հարուածեց քահանայապետի ծառային եւ նրա ականջը կտրեց պոկեց:
and, behold, one of them which were with jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear.

Իսկ Պետրոսը հեռուից նրա յետեւից գնաց մինչեւ ներս, քահանայապետի գաւիթը: Եւ նստած էր սպասաւորների մօտ ու տաքանում էր կրակի բոցի առջեւ:
and peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.

Եւ Յիսուսի յետեւից գնում էին Սիմոն Պետրոսը եւ միւս աշակերտը: Եւ քանի որ այդ աշակերտը քահանայապետին ծանօթ էր, Յիսուսի հետ մտաւ քահանայապետի տան գաւիթը:
and simon peter followed jesus, and so did another disciple: that disciple was known unto the high priest, and went in with jesus into the palace of the high priest.

Եւ Պետրոսը հեռուից նրան հետեւելով՝ գնաց մինչեւ քահանայապետի գաւիթը եւ ներս մտնելով՝ սպասաւորների հետ նստեց՝ տեսնելու համար վախճանը:
but peter followed him afar off unto the high priest's palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.

«Ահա ելնում ենք Երուսաղէմ. եւ մարդու Որդին պիտի մատնուի քահանայապետներին ու օրէնսգէտներին, եւ նրան մահուան պիտի դատապարտեն ու հեթանոսներին պիտի յանձնեն.
saying, behold, we go up to jerusalem; and the son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the gentiles:
