that is the grace of allah: he vouchsafeth it on whomsoever he will. and allah is the owner of mighty grace.
اللہ زبردست اور حکیم ہے یہ اس کا فضل ہے، جسے چاہتا ہے دیتا ہے، اور وہ بڑا فضل فرمانے والا ہے

he vouchsafeth wisdom unto whomsoever he will, and whosoever is vouchsafed wisdom is of a surety vouchsafed abundant good, and none receiveth admonition save men of understanding.
اللہ حکمت دیتا ہے جسے چاہے اور جسے حکمت ملی اسے بہت بھلائی ملی، اور نصیحت نہیں مانتے مگر عقل والے،

but when he vouchsafeth the twain a goodly child they set up unto him associates in respect of that which he hath vouchsafed to them. exalted be allah far from that which they associate!
اس کے بعد جب اس نے صُالح فرزند دے دیا تو اللہ کی عطا میں اس کا شریک قرار دے دیا جب کہ خدا ان شریکوں سے کہیں زیادہ بلند و برتر ہے

and believe not save one who followeth your religion. say thou: verily the guidance of allah - that is the guidance. envy ye that any one should be vouchsafed the like of that which was vouchsafed unto you or fear ye that those others may overcome you in contention before your lord! say thou: verily the grace is in the hand of allah he vouchsafeth it unto whomsoever he will; and allah is bounteous, knowing.
اور اپنے دین کے پیرو کے سوا کسی اور کے قائل نہ ہونا (اے پیغمبر) کہہ دو کہ ہدایت تو خدا ہی کی ہدایت ہے (وہ یہ بھی کہتے ہیں) یہ بھی (نہ ماننا) کہ جو چیز تم کو ملی ہے ویسی کسی اور کو ملے گی یا وہ تمہیں خدا کے روبرو قائل معقول کر سکیں گے یہ بھی کہہ دو کہ بزرگی خدا ہی کے ہاتھ میں ہے وہ جسے چاہتا ہے دیتا ہے اور خدا کشائش والا (اور) علم والا ہے
