and he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.

thus saith the lord, behold, i will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, even all the words of the book which the king of judah hath read:

as die hemel toegesluit bly, dat daar geen reën is nie, omdat hulle teen u gesondig het, maar hulle na hierdie plek toe bid en u naam bely en van hulle sonde hul bekeer, omdat u hulle verootmoedig,
when heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou afflictest them:

as die hemel toegesluit is, dat daar geen reën is nie, omdat hulle teen u gesondig het, maar hulle na hierdie plek toe bid en u naam bely, van hulle sonde hul bekeer, omdat u hulle verootmoedig,
when the heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; yet if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou dost afflict them;
