信者の女たちに言ってやるがいい。かの女らの視線を低くし，貞淑を守れ。外に表われるものの外は，かの女らの美（や飾り）を目立たせてはならない。それからヴェイルをその胸の上に垂れなさい。自分の夫または父の外は，かの女の美（や飾り）を表わしてはならない。なお夫の父，自分の息子，夫の息子，また自分の兄弟，兄弟の息子，姉妹の息子または自分の女たち，自分の右手に持つ奴隷，また性欲を持たない供回りの男，または女の体に意識をもたない幼児（の外は）。またかの女らの隠れた飾りを知らせるため，その足（で地）を打ってはならない。あなたがた信者よ，皆一緒に悔悟してアッラーに返れ。必ずあなたがたは成功するであろう。
