Աբրահամն ասաց. «Զգո՛յշ եղիր, իմ որդուն այնտեղ չվերադարձնես:

i tell thee, thou shalt not depart thence, till thou hast paid the very last mite.
Ասում եմ քեզ, այնտեղից դուրս չես գայ, մինչեւ որ չվճարես վերջին գրոշը»:

and abraham drew near, and said, wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?
Աբրահամը մօտեցաւ Տիրոջն ու ասաց. «Մի՞թէ դու արդարին ամբարշտի հետ կ՚ոչնչացնես, եւ արդարը նոյն բանին կ՚ենթարկուի, ինչ որ ամբարիշտը:

and abimelech said unto abraham, what mean these seven ewe lambs which thou hast set by themselves?
Աբիմելէքը հարցրեց Աբրահամին. «Ի՞նչ են նշանակում այս եօթը որոջները, որոնց առանձնացրիր»:

and israel said unto joseph, now let me die, since i have seen thy face, because thou art yet alive.
Իսրայէլն ասաց Յովսէփին. «Այսուհետեւ կարող եմ մեռնել, որովհետեւ տեսայ քո երեսը, եւ դու տակաւին կենդանի ես»:

and his disciples said unto him, thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, who touched me?
Եւ աշակերտները նրան ասացին. «Տեսնում ես, որ ամբոխը նեղում է քեզ, եւ ասում ես, թէ՝ ո՞վ դիպաւ իմ զգեստներին»:

and isaac his father said unto him, who art thou? and he said, i am thy son, thy firstborn esau.
Եսաւի հայր Իսահակը հարցրեց նրան. «Ո՞վ ես դու»: Սա պատասխանեց. «Ես Եսաւն եմ՝ քո անդրանիկ որդին»:

now therefore, my son, obey my voice; and arise, flee thou to laban my brother to haran;
Արդ, լսի՛ր իմ խօսքը, որդեա՛կ. ելիր գնա՛ Միջագետք, իմ եղբայր Լաբանի մօտ, Խառան:

and he came unto his father, and said, my father: and he said, here am i; who art thou, my son?
Սա տարաւ դրանք իր հօրն ու ասաց. «Հա՛յր իմ»: Նա ասաց. «Այստեղ եմ»: Հայրը հարցրեց. «Դու ո՞վ ես, որդեա՛կ»:
